Annually celebrated on June 14^th, Flag Day was established by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 to honor the adoption of the original US flag by the Second Continental Congress in 1777. Often considered a warmup for the Fourth of July, Flag Day reminds us that we are one united country.

Possible activities as suggested by National Today include making a healthy patriotic snack, dressing in red, white and blue or using an American Flag trivia game to teach your kids or friends some true flag history.
